WEST END Vancouver's West End is known for its scenic beauty, home of the city's gay community, and for its numerous festivals and events. Because of the number of high-rise residential buildings here, the West End has one of the highest population densities in Canada. |

ENGLISH BAY No summer visitor to Vancouver misses a spectacular English Bay sunset. Here, the evening sun falls gracefully past the calm water, behind the mountain tops to give a beautiful glow to the summer sky. As well, ocean-going ships docked in the Bay cast their own shimmering lights upon the water. |
